This place is actually pretty good.
Vegetarian review:
- iced lemon tea & milk tea: standard, but with free refills. Refills are happily given and without fuss, even when you ask for a to-go cup.
- fried tofu: crispiest ones I've ever had. Super light on the inside, super crisp on the outside. Great dish, well seasoned.
- some sort of rice/casserole/curry: I actually don't know what it was, but it was a giant rice casserole made vegetarian. It tasted like baked curry on top with lots of veggies underneath, all on a thick bed of rice.
- egg dessert thing: also pretty good. Comes out piping hot, soft and pillowy with some crisp bits on the outside.
Parking was easy, and there was no wait on a Thursday evening. -

This used to be one of our 'Go To' places for Cantonese food. The food is still good, but a notch down from what it used to be.
This time, we ordered the Deep Fried fish filets with sweet and sour sauce, French Style Fish filets, Dried stir-fried green beans, and the Squid with spicy salt and of course some rice.
The fried fish with sweet and sour sauce was served with the fried fish on one plate and a large bowl of the sauce, this was great so the fish didn't get all soggy. The fish was lightly battered and tasted great. We developed a great liking for the French Style fish filet years ago and its still a winner, great taste and flavor. My girls really enjoy the dried stir-fried long bean, so that's our veggie dish.
The other dish we really like is the Deep-fried squid in spicy salt. We especially loved that the dish used the tentacles as we felt it added to spice up the dish. However, this time there was NO tentacles!!! This was very disappointing. Although it tasted ok, it didn't have the crunch of the tentacles that really made the dish. -

This place is wide open with a nice modern vibe. I ordered the pork chop with fried egg and rice. It tasted great. It took 20 minutes for the food to be served to me. Maybe it was just this one dish because all other tables got their food quickly. As far as my order, the pork I got had lots of bones and it was a small portion. In fact, I loaded up on a big desert after to make up for the small portion good for a lunch but too small for a dinner for me at least.
I will likely come back but definitely not order the same pork chop dish -

Right next to the 99 cent store, Tasty Station is a Cantonese cafe style food restaurant and gets pretty busy during the weekends. I did come here over a weekday for lunch and it was pretty dead. But recently I have been here on a weekend and it was very busy and packed with each table full of families enjoying meals together.
What I like about this place is the parking lot, tons of parking you don't have to worry. The food is pretty alright. It's family style and you just order a few dishes and just share it with everyone on the table.
Most parents almost never wants to eat somewhere expensive and when it was for a birthday the birthday boy said to come here to enjoy lunch.
We ordered a lot of different dishes and mainly he did but I just literally sat down and ate it. My favorite dish that they had ordered was the green beans a simple dish but many Chinese places don't exactly make it the best. The flavor, crisp and softness was just perfect! The next dish is some cubed steak that was in black pepper sauce. I enjoy that they put mushrooms in this and snap peas.
A nice place to enjoy cafe food with family and affordable.
